about
about this track:
“It Feels So Right” is an anthem for star-crossed lovers.
Magic Moments will release his sixth single of the year entitled “It Feels So Right” on October 30th. The new song presents a more stripped down songwriting style, unlike the richly textured and electronic influenced production Magic Moments is known for, showcasing instead a more piano pop based sound. This stylistic choice gives the artist’s distinct sing/rap vocals a chance to continue reaching new heights, while building upon his reputation for writing lyrics that HuffPost called “a beacon of optimism.”
“It Feels So Right” captures the excitement of following your heart and choosing the person you love, despite what others may say about you. On the chorus Magic sings “They say you ain’t good for me / But it feels so right / They say we want different things / Still it feels so right.” Yet, there’s another layer to the story, and to romance in general according to Magic, and that’s the fact that it takes two people to make something work. Magic sings, “Even if you follow your heart / Someone else might break it / But if you’re too afraid to try / Then your whole life is wasted.” What choice do we have, Magic asks, other than to follow our heart, when he adds, “We could pick up the pieces / And build something new / Or let the rain wash it all away / If it just isn’t true.”
Magic Moments creates music videos for all of his songs, and will continue the tradition for “It Feels So Right.” In just a few years Magic Moments has released over 20 songs and music videos and continues to showcase a wide range of musical styles and abilities, fearlessly crossing over into multiple genres, usually within the same song, from pop to dance, hip hop to electronic, punk, dub and beyond. With accomplishments that include working with the legendary Lee “Scratch” Perry, having their music described as “a beacon for optimism” by Huffington Post, and performing at some of the most creative music festivals in the United States, Magic Moments is poised to make their biggest splash ever this year. Growing up in the streets of Los Angeles and New York, Magic has always been exposed to an eclectic mix of cultures and perspectives, which is evident in their music and lyrics. Whether writing about love, self confidence, following your dreams or overcoming adversity, Magic Moments has always managed to find the honest and inspirational core of any given subject, and this has helped him build a passionate, loyal and growing fan base.
lyrics
lyrics:
They say you ain’t good for me
But it feels so right
They say we want different things
Still it feels so right
It’s first time I’m free
And it feels so right
You’re the one for me
Cause it feels so right
Even if you follow your heart
Someone else might break it
But if you’re too afraid to try
Then your whole life is wasted
So you might as well do it
Put your whole heart into it
And go for what you really want
Come on go on and do it
I could be your truest love
Or I might not ever be enough
I could act really tough
Or I could keep my heart soft
Maybe somewhere in between
In between you and me
I could find what I want
And we could get what we need
I could be your truest
I could be your realest
You could be the one who
Opens up to feel this
And It feels so right
oooh oooh oooh
I’m feeling right
I’m feeling good
It’s feeling like I thought it would
It just feels so right
It feels so good
That it breaks into pieces
It could never be perfect
It’s perfect how it is
I didn’t know what I wanted
But it’s something just like this
We could pick up the pieces
And build something new
Or let the rain wash it all away
If it just isn’t true
I don’t know if this is real love
But I know I’ve had it real rough
And I know we’re both real tough
And we both got the right stuff
So let’s see if it’s meant to be
More than a fantasy
I know what you mean to me
So will you believe with me
That’s what I like
That’s what I like
That’s what I like about you
