“Songs For The People” is the catchy and conscious anthem the world needs right now and singer, rapper and songwriter Magic Moments hopes it will empower everyone working towards social justice and world peace.

Like most of Magic’s music, “Songs For The People” fuses multiple genres together including pop, hip hop, dance and electronic music. On the lyrical side, Magic tells a story of a growing internal awareness, the visceral need for change within and without, and an optimistic sense of personal empowerment to contribute to the creation of a more peaceful and harmonious world.

On the chorus Magic sings “I know that we want it / Are we afraid to take it / Maybe we know that / Greed is what’ll break it.” Magic has been an artful activist as long as they’ve been an artist and creator, and as any engaged activist can attest, there’s a fine line between fighting for what you believe and just fighting. For those who intend to make positive impacts, we feel a responsibility to practice what we preach. So with this song, like many of their others, Magic Moments attempts to bring people together despite what seems like a growing divisiveness. In a later verse they sing “Maybe we can stand together / And unite as one / We can lead the world with love / A love for everyone.” This is the second time Magic Moments has worked with visual artist Isai Pavlov in the creation of cover art.
