“Sweet Nectar” is a metaphor for our desires and all the things that bring us joy, pleasure and feelings of blissfulness. Like bees and butterflies, we spend our days chasing our sweet nectar, so much so that this pursuit defines the entirety of our lives. To Magic Moments, this universal fact is one of the main things we all have in common, and therefore we can use this shared craving as a way to find unity and create peace on Earth. Magic sings “Here we are / you and I / two butterflies as we fly / on the chase and in the race / to reach and taste / the sweet sweet nectar.” While we share a similar sense of desire, we live in a world of limited resources, and among people who are afflicted with greed, and therefore there doesn’t seem to be enough nectar to go around. Magic addresses this character flaw in himself when he raps “The sweetest thing completed me / but it defeated me when it was deleted / it impeded me from being what I could be / too many weeds / an ego stampeded on the flowers’ seeds.” The lesson that Magic had to learn in their own life was that a deeper sense of joy is felt when joy is felt and shared by everyone. At the song’s conclusion he raps “Caught in the net / the butterfly collector / only when I let her out / can I taste the sweet nectar!” Ultimately “Sweet Nectar” reflects on the journey of self discovery and finding our place and a sense of balance in the world. Magic believes if we all strive to find a similar balance, we may find ourselves in a truly wonderful world. This utopic state of mind is described by Magic when he sings “Here we are / on this tree / the fruit of which feeds humanity / a life is worth / to love the Earth / because we thirst / for the sweet sweet nectar!”

Musically “Sweet Nectar” blends together several genres and tempos from trip-hop to alt pop and drum & bass, and as mentioned above Magic showcases both their singing and rapid fire rap vocal styles. There’s also an element of psychedelic sound design that’s carried throughout the song, as though we are floating in the timelessness between a single flutter of a butterfly's wings. Sometimes we feel trapped and stuck in a particular state of mind, but once we find what we need to progress, the positive changes can be swift and sweeping.
