“All That I Know” is Magic Moments fifth release of the year and their final offering of the decade. It follows a steady stream of genre blending singles and music videos since their debut EP “Pheonix” which at the time Huffington Post called “a beacon for optimism!”

“All That I Know” like the single before it, “Give Love Get Love,” was written while Magic lived in a tiny house in a remote forest town in Northern California. Magic recalls finding inspiration in the summer nights there, secluded amongst the old trees and forest fauna and then channeling those peaceful and mysterious vibrations into these songs.

In terms of genre, “All That I Know” is wavey dreamtronica meets space punk, with influences drawn from the underground pop and indie-electronic realms. The song is fundamentally built on the sound and character of the electric guitar but Magic’s production, arrangement and vocal performance creates a layered soundscape of melodies that go beyond simply being classified as guitar based music.

Lyrically Magic begins with “Do you believe our dreams are real” in a distant and distorted call, like an intercom at a galactic train station before launching into the song’s first verse “All that I know / Somewhere deep inside is a treasure for sho / But it hasn’t been discovered you know / The real value is in the search you’ll see / Traveling across the seven seas.” Magic is inviting listeners on the journey of finding one’s own treasure which is the wealth obtained through knowledge of self. Later Magic sings “I’m just gonna be as true as I know how to be / I’m gonna find my heart / You can see me on the line / This is the start / It’s all on the line.” Magic is urging listeners to consider that sometimes it takes getting over our fears to achieve what we’re striving towards.

Since the release of their first EP, Magic Moments has strived to create inspiring and uplifting music, realizing that their own well being while growing up around the streets in Los Angeles can be attributed to the music they listened to. Like many people, Magic faced hardships growing up, and it was their favorite artists and the messages in their songs that motivated Magic to strive to achieve their dreams. Now Magic hopes they can offer the same message of inspiration to their listeners.

Artist statement: “When I first came up with the lyrics for All That I Know, I imagined my worries and fears dissolving into sparkling confetti and showering down around me while I danced underneath in revelry and celebration of surviving. Believing in myself is all I know how to do now! As the decade comes to a close, I realize learning to believe in myself has been the most important lesson for me during this time.”
