On December 16th Magic Moments will release “Celebrating Christmas Time.” The new single blends romantic bedroom pop vibes with a beautiful electronic-tinge ballad for the holidays.

Magic Moments is a singer, rapper, songwriter and performer based on the West Coast of the US. In a matter of years Magic Moments has released over 40 songs and music videos showcasing his unique style that blends influences from underground hip hop, electronic pop, punk, dub reggae and more. Growing up in the streets of Los Angeles and New York, Magic was originally born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and this mix of cultures and experiences is evident in his music and songwriting. Magic’s lyrics are deeply introspective but always steer towards the universal, inspirational and playful and this is why Huffington Post described his music as “a beacon for optimism.” Recent accomplishments include releasing a song with Lee “Scratch” Perry and performing at two of California’s most creative festivals including Lightning in a Bottle and Burning Man.

“Celebrating Christmas Time” brings to focus what the holiday season should really be about: celebration, peace, joy and love. In the opening verse Magic proclaims “I’ve been waiting for Christmas / To fill our hearts with peace and joy / I've been waiting to celebrate / And share these moments with you.” This isn’t just a love song about the holidays, but also about the people we long to spend them with.

Later Magic sings “I’m celebrating Christmas time / With gifts made of light / I’m celebrating the Winter Solstice and Yuletide / Just because I’m alive and just because you’re by my side / You’re all the reasons I need.” For those who love the winter holidays, it’s a time to get together with the people you care about, and making sure to take the chance to let them know how you feel.

Musically, the song begins with longing synth melodies and twirling bells. In the middle breakdown, Magic’s placed some recordings of his newly born daughter. The entire first half of the song is beatless, so when the drums finally drop mid-way through, the energy that’s been building has an exciting release.
