On their latest single “Give Love Get Love," Magic Moments hopes to ‘give love’ and inspire fellow runaways with a glimpse into their own story of searching and returning. Equal parts hip hop, indie dance-punk and alt-pop, the song aims to lift up listeners to be in their confidence and compassion.

People thought Magic was running away from home but really they were searching for a thing called love. Whether it was a bike ride across town to crash at a friend's house, a cross country train to escape altogether or a flight around the world to meditate inside the center of the Great Pyramids in Egypt, Magic was fortunate enough to learn early on in life that the real journey to the land of love begins inside. Here, with this newly found ability, known as self-love, Magic was able to come home, forgive things that needed forgiving and appreciate the blessings in their life today.

When Magic raps “I’m just a kid / I’m gonna do my best / been hella stressed / but way more blessed” one can feel the power of hope and self-belief and hear through the distorted and fuzzy signal carrying their vocals that all this baggage has been transmuted into works of art destined for museums dedicated to personal triumph. By the time we reach the chorus, there’s a lightness blooming in their voice, like the cheering of spirit guardians and ancestors rooting for Magic’s imminent buddhahood. Later Magic adds “So if you don’t mind I’m gonna rock this / talk this walk / it’s just me making sparks out of darkness / the most elusive hearts we got this / we are so blessed let’s spread it / ya this love let’s get it,” seemingly finding a way out of the chaos and into a self-made sanctuary.
